Antoinette Fairhurst

Antoinette is the great mother of Les Marguerites and has been hosting retreats in this sacred land for the last 15 years. She will be cooking body and soul nourishing dinners each evening and preparing your breakfasts in the morning. Antoinette ensures that all your physical needs during your week here are lovingly taken care of. She is holding the space so that you can relax and focus on your spiritual experience. Antoinette shares stories and her own experiences from her years of living and working in this land. She opens her heart, home, and kitchen to you.

David Lorimer, MA, PGGE, FRSA

David is a visionary polymath, spiritual activist, and poet, who has led numerous retreats and is deeply steeped on the spiritual path and in the lineage of Yeshua and Mary Magdalena. David will grace us with his presence and teaching for part of the retreat to hold the staff for the healthy masculine, and will share with us his wealth of gifts and heart. He will guide us with a special dance that guides people to unite with the elements of nature and themselves. He has immense experience, potent knowledge and walks the way of love in his own life, whilst he achieved great impact in the world.

Devajani

is a classical pianist since early childhood, who expresses the unspeakable into true soul music. Through her musical creations, Dévayani transports her listeners into a luminous and vibrant universe, the source of inspiration. Rachel Salter

is a master troubadour musician, and storyteller of folklore and legends. She can sing in Gaelic (Celtic) and Occitan (the Cathar language). Rachel weaves music, song, and story into a powerful, magical experience that takes people right into a time and place where you are so mesmerized that you are touched in the soul and rendered speechless. Rachel will grace us with a private concert in the chapel and give us a private tour of one of the oldest troubadour castles in the Cathar Land.

I just had the absolute privilege and honor of being able to spend a week with Dr. Nicola Amadora on her Way of Love Retreat. I had the most remarkable week. A week where we’ve delved deeper than I ever thought we might into what love really is…

To be able to understand its multi-dimensional nature. To apply it not only for myself, but to our future, to my nearest and dearest around me and also to the world outside. To take that message and have it anchored in the story of Magdalena, Yeshua, but also the story of the Cathars. So any trials and tribulations that we go through in our lives become lighter and easier. We have received a treasure box, full of riches, experiences, tools, and stories that we can use to bring us back on that path. 

This is really a transformational experience that will change the shape of my life, the next few decades of my life. I also had an incredible experience that was deeply powerful on the Chair of Isis. An experience where I felt I might die, then it transmuted into a place of sheer bliss. The Way of Love retreat was an extraordinary experience of transformation…

What an incredible and profound retreat! We went on an inner exploration of what keeps us from the love that we all seek and finding our way into that love. It is a self-exploration that each journeys through by way of teachings, nature, the group, spiritual and partner practices.  Each day there are also outings to sacred sites, which hold energies that are highly beneficial to the themes of each day’s teachings. Everything is woven so organically and well. The process is deep,  and suddenly you recognize how much has changed.  

Nicola Amadora is a precious treasure at a time when spiritual teachers are so prolific, and we can encounter a lot of “costume jewelry or replicas”.  She offers Pearls of Great Price.  She is seasoned and knowledgeable, as well as having been through the fires herself.  It is rather magical how she brings people together.  She holds a space and creates a safe crucible for healing and embodied awakening, unlike anyone I have ever known.  I found myself willing to figuratively walk into my own personal fire, to burn away the last residues of that which keeps me from love. What happened was quite extraordinary.  It came in waves, for everyone in their own time, at their own pace.  And yet by the end, everyone had opened more fully to love.   

Though the retreat is not directed toward intimate relationships, it inevitably transforms them. When I arrived in Alet Les Bains,  I knew I was exactly where I wanted to be –  in the literal pulse of “The Land of Yes”.  (Occitan/Cathar country). I could feel it.  It is a wild and beautiful land that overflows with milk and honey. I loved the sustainable rhythm of this retreat space and location. The teachings and practices, hikes, sacred sites, food, drink, dancing, swimming, temple time, and presentations at Les Marguerittes are now alive and sing forever in my soul. 

Each person attending the retreat experienced a monumental shift, change, healing, and transformation. Because of Nicola’s pure teachings, her practice, her outstanding interpersonal exercises, and her healing abilities, I also have left France differently. I found a deep, lasting peace that I have never experienced in my life. 

Dr. Nicola Amadora an amazing human being. Over the last 40 years, I have had the privilege of studying and working with some of the greatest doctors and healers on the planet. Nicola is rare. Her integrity, strength, and compassion are unequalled in any human I have ever met. She is a most powerful and embodied teacher. Loving, clear, and brooks no bullshit. I am also changed simply because of our adventures to the sacred sites in Cathar country. I had two deep and mystical experiences. One on the “Isis Chair” after the Magdalene pools, and the other at the Truth Rock. The sacred waters were transformative. There were other simply unforgettable experiences:  Our visit to the famous Troubadour castle Puivert, where we had an intimate concert, and heard the astonishing story of the lake and the White Lady. Meeting Catherine DeCourcy, who is a wonderful historian at Montsegur, and meeting David Lorimer, who brought the union dance and soul poetry to us, was a feast.

The retreat center with the rose temple and the natural pool was healing in and of itself. Yet it was the beauty and the camaraderie of the outdoor garden dinner table she provided that I will never forget. The luscious, locally sourced, beautiful and inspired meals that  Antoinette created were of unparalleled hospitality.

Here in this Cathar country are where the legends and practices of Mary Magdalene’s teachings created a peaceful and abundant community for 2000 years.  They were interrupted by the crusades for the genocide of the Cathars 700 years ago.  The prediction then was that in 700 years the time would return.  We have. I certainly felt that it had.
