We are in a deep passage as symbolized in the Passover, Easter, and the shamanic death and birth journey. It’s not necessarily a religious passage, but a passage that all mystics, shamans, bodhisattvas, and those who walk the path of heart must undergo. It is a passage the world is in right now. Will we come through? I don’t know. It’s not an easy one. Because it calls us to walk into the unknown, right through the eye of the hurricane. How then can we personally travel through to light the way?

Our first step in this passage is to face death, our fears, and pains courageously. The stuff we have been avoiding. What do you fear the most? Let yourself be stripped naked of all that you are holding unto and identify with. Opening beyond concepts to raw Feeling, being just present. When you realize you never had control, allow yourself to give over, to surrender into that what always holds you, is you and is alive, breathing in your body and beautiful heart in the midst of it all.

What is left when all else fails? Stay there tonight beloved, allow your heart to break and the tears to flow.

Then, on the second day, empty-handed we enter into the tomb, in stillness, we rest. No one to be, nothing to do, and nowhere to go. You don’t know and what was there before is no more. You might feel shattered, The world as you have known it has crumbled. Allow all with a yes. Here, in this sacred ground between time and space, below the waves, stillness wraps you, love unfolds you. Rest here, sense, feel into it. Something is alive, pure, without a name snaking and winding through your spine. Lean in, trust in that life force, which has no ending and beginning. Love wants the whole of you. Let it fill, make, and take you.

Stay close, there is a deeper mystery unfurling, that knows and flows between the crevices of your heart and within the great song of life.

And on the third day, you may experience a quivering, a shaking, a waking. A rising from within, a birthing. Like a newborn child, your eyes open gently to the morning light. A dawning into a world you had forgotten, but it was painted, written, edged into your soul so long time ago. As you breathe new life, rejoice to be simply here in this precious life. You only ever had this moment. Now, more fully than before.

As you rise up, you know in your blood and bones- no matter what happens you can meet it, even the terrible, even when you are shaking in your boots, and love your way through to the other side. For Love shines and lives as and through you in benefit to all.

And it always finds a way!

However, to emerge all the way through we cannot skip any part and where we are right now. And usually, we need a seasoned guide, a loving hand. It is not a neatly packaged streamlined path, that can be forced or created. This living resurrection passage is deeper than that, profoundly powerful and surprisingly alive.

This passage can be taken over a lifetime or within a moment or like the ancient passages it lasts for three days. You can walk it in your life and also for these three holy days and nights right now.

I honor you for your bravery to be here at this time and send all my love to you. Safe passage to you all ❤️!

The world is coming to a screeching halt, people are pushed into a forced retreat. Countries are closing borders and we are in lockdown. Climate Change didn’t stop us. The rapid increase in homelessness didn’t stop us. Neither did the massive wildfires and extinction of wildlife stop us. Nothing could halt our race. But a tiny virus did.

We had to stop one way or another. It is so quiet out there, birds are singing and some people too. Pollution around the world dropped drastically and animals come out of hiding. Folks are helping each other and we are hopefully remembering what matters. Yet, it’s not all beautiful as many are sick, struggling financially, or feel isolated and terrified. Yes, it brings suffering, tears, and loss. In these challenging times, my love is with you.

And at this moment when we are forced to stop and have to face what is, will we awaken and turn? Will we take care of our planet, of each other? Will we live in a different way, in alignment with creation? Will we stop our self-destructive train? Being forced to stop do we remember who we are? It is not a given that we will. It depends on each of us. But there is a great opportunity in the pressure cooker of adversity and this forced retreat. Take it! Many of us are here to hold the space, to guide, to help. Take a hand and go to the core of your being. Meet yourself, dive through.

And it is not only about our personal healing and awakening, but to be able to touch the world with real love.

As I am working with people from every corner of the world, I hear so many different stories of quarantine. One man from India told me how the poorest in his neighborhood had nowhere to go after the police demolished their cardboard box homes. He used to bring them food. But now he is not allowed to go out unto streets. What happens to people without the privilege to shelter in a cozy home? What happens when they can neither work nor find food?

Some experience the quarantine as a welcomed stop from the rat race. They practice yoga online, be creative, plant in the garden, and discover how beautiful life is when walking a little bit slower now.

Others feel isolated or imprisoned. Many don’t know how to pay the rent and feed their families. And some folks in Germany get well taken care of by their government. Italians sing from their balconies, but do we know what’s going on in their homes and hearts?

We share many colors of experience, none is exactly the same. It is not just the internal, it’s the external that influences each of us as well. If we live in privileged countries with kind folks surrounding us, this quarantine is far easier to live through. And if you sit on the street, it’s tough. Very tough.

We tend to generalize, assume, and project our own experiences unto others. But for compassion to flower, I find it helpful to look deeply and as the Native Americans say: “to walk in each other’s shoes”. Because Oneness is not sameness. This situation invites us to get to know each other across the borders, beyond our preconceived ideas, to reach through to the heart, even if we have to do it online.

To do this simple human thing from time to time and ask: “How are you? How is this situation really for you?” creates a bridge and makes a world of difference, maybe for the fellow who lives next door to you.

Sending you strength and a kiss across time and space right now. Nicola

You know this. For such a time as this, we have been born. We are facing unprecedented challenges, foretold by ancient prophecies and anticipated by those with eyes to see and ears to hear. Many of us had a foreboding sense a long time ago of what is unfolding now. We have been preparing throughout our whole lives, walked through hell and back, to be able to show up. To stand in the eye of this mighty hurricane, so we can be a refuge and a lighthouse, to guide, awaken, heal and blaze a trail through the darkest hours of human history. To help in the great turning!

Together, not alone.

Climate change and the pandemic make it even more clear how interconnected we are. Every act has an effect. For better or worse. None of us is exempt, what befalls the river, the trees, the people, is affecting each one of us. And for sure, we will die one way or another. Basic truths of life. Despite this knowing, fear arises. It is so human when uncertainty shakes us and when we have driven our mere survival on this earth to the utmost edge.

What helps?

Spiritual practice, nature, friends, healthy food, and a good dose of love. Everyday. But, please do not tell others or yourself not to panic. It only makes it worse. We don’t need to act from fear or build a shrine to it but can grow resilience by feeling and meeting it. Resisting what is, denial, or checking out never helps. And c’moi, don’t follow the panicked mind around?

Rather, go the simple and direct way home:

Acknowledge the situation whether in the world or you, the feeling, the fear. Let the body shake, allow it to move, dance, sing, touch the constriction with your breath, and embrace the one who is scarred with kindness. Whether it is your friend, a neighbor, or the kid inside of you. Offer presence, breath, and most of all the hand of love.

I mean a love that doesn’t shy away from the tough places, a love that has space for fear and joy, a love that reaches into the pit, and meets you right where you are and what is going on in our world. Here, freedom is found, not from anything, but being free to show up and respond in the midst of turmoil, to act fresh from the source, wisdom or you might say the power of love’s presence. What is possible when we root and unite here and bridge the gap of isolation between each other?

This is how we blaze a new trail, this is how we give a hand for the great turning when the waves are pounding relentlessly and we have reached the edge.

You are needed now love. Bring on what you got. You are not alone, we truly are together in this. Let’s raise our torches and sail this crazy, beautiful human ship bravely right through the eye of the hurricane!
